Joelma's Story

How do you know where you belong, when you can't hearThe World Health Organisation estimates that in Africa 2 per cent of all children have disabling hearing loss.

For Namibia, that represents more than 46.000 children. To reach out to young deaf children and their families, CLaSHthe Association for Children with Language, Speech and Hearing Impairments of Namibia, has put together a team that travels to the north every 3 to 4 months. Our film “Joelma’s Story” shows the challenges deaf children and their families face and illustrates the potential of home visits as a support tool.

The Attorney General

Mubasen was the first company to utilize the new green screen in NBC’s studio 6. We interviewed Namibia’s Attorney Generals, including the current office holder “Sacky” Shanghala. They talk about issues and challenges of the AG’s office in past, present and future and their personal involvement. The background film stars the current staff of the office. These scenes were added in post-production.
